Gesha Village Lot 25/039 (Washed)
About this Lot
This washed Gesha 1931 from Gesha Village’s Surma block is a stunning addition to our Gesha Village selection of lots. Grown under native forest canopy at around 1,950 masl in Ethiopia’s Bench Maji zone, it’s a study in precision and restraint. Clean and floral, it opens with jasmine and lemon blossom, layers into white peach and bergamot, and finishes with soft honey and black tea sweetness.
About the Farm
Gesha Village Coffee Estate sits on 471 hectares bordering the original Gesha forest — the birthplace of the variety. Founded by Adam Overton and Rachel Samuel, the estate is farmed regeneratively, preserving biodiversity and soil health.
Freshly harvested coffee cherries for Lot 25/032 are pulped and fermented without water for 12 hours. These are then washed thoroughly to remove the mucilage.
